How to Use Fear To Your Advantage
Some consider George Kourounis to be fearless, but nothing could be further from the truth. It takes a certain kind of person to drive into the eye of a hurricane, to dangle from a rope over a steaming volcano or to jump into a pond with thousands of hungry piranhas, and although Kourounis has done all these things (and much more), he was not without fear.  While the adventures you experience at AXUG Summit are less life threatening, your adrenaline may still run high: perhaps you're presenting a session for the first time, or back at the office you're undertaking an upgrade or implementing a new add-on. By understanding why we are afraid to do something and by analyzing the possible outcomes, Kourounis shows that fear is not only something that can be managed & controlled, it is a vital element to accomplishing anything worthwhile.  Whether in business, personal challenges or extreme exploration, fear is what gives us an edge. Kourounis teaches us how to harness our fear, and use it to our advantage.

Using Cases To Do Almost Anything Your Dynamics AX Doesn't Do
Step right up and dare to experience for yourself the one, the only, the world's largest, strongest tool ever! It walks, it talks, it crawls on its belly!!! --- We're talking about Cases within Dynamics AX, of course. They are the 'Swiss Army knife' of Dynamics AX functionality, and if there is something you want to track that isn't tracked already, you can probably do it through Cases. With Cases you can track incidents, record quality results, track projects, and even create custom workflows to track whether Cases are followed up upon in a timely manner. Cases are accessible virtually everywhere within Dynamics AX; you practically can't open up a screen without seeing them. In this presentation, we will show you how to configure Cases and will walk through a few examples of how you can use them right now within your implementation of Dynamics AX.

Thinking about Business Transformation? Make Sure You’re Following the Right Steps
Business transformation is a top priority for many organizations, but how do companies manage through the complex changes that are necessary? Success requires great execution, one project at a time. Given the critical nature of this initiative, it’s imperative that leaders make the right choices about where to focus limited resources and execute with precision. When looking at solving your Business Process and Solution issues, are you prioritizing in the right areas? To make sure you are evaluating the right business drivers and confirm you are ready for Business Transformation, consider the following process and associated tasks that the Enterprise Consulting group goes through in establishing a Business Transformation plan. In this session we will examine Requirements/Process Definition, Organizational Change and Risk Management, Business Performance Improvements, and Solution Architecture. By gaining a better understanding of what is involved in business transformation, organizations and their Executives will be better able to respond and adapt to the next development of their industry or business environment. Disrupt the Status Quo in Dynamics AX Implementations

Does your code work on dev, but not on prod? Do you often spend late-nights and weekends attempting to implement AX? Or does your organization simply lack the resources?

Whether your AX implementation is local or global, the challenge remains the same—deploying safely in the least amount of time. However, as organizations continue to inherit legacy ERP systems through acquisitions, implementations have become more complex, extending deadlines and increasing downtime risk. Besides time and resources, the lack of available and accurate dev environments has become a major bottleneck. Unfortunately, many organizations accept the limitation because “it’s just the way things are always done”.

In this session, you will be provided with the definitive guide to “disrupting” the status quo in AX implementations. You will learn to incorporate agile development (DevOps), ensure code merges and software testing, and create production-accurate dev environments as needed. Throughout the session, experienced technologists will share best practices, lessons learned, and tools that have helped them along the way.
